What is the best way to advertise as a plumber?
In our view it is a mix: a strong Google Maps presence for people searching now, paid search ads for emergencies, and reminders to past customers.

Four steps
- Claim and fill out your Google Business Profile. It is free, and "plumber near me" searches land there.
- Run Google search ads on emergency terms only. You pay when someone clicks, and Google says advertising with Google does not affect your presence in its search results.
- If you use local services ads or a lead service, track which paid leads become booked jobs.
- Send past customers a reminder by email, or by text only to customers who agreed to get texts from you. It is cheap and often overlooked.
